Preschoolers can sit in a cardboard car while enjoying short films on a big screen. Free. Recommended for ages 3 & up.

Cowboy Breakfast @ The Long Center
Friday, March 4, 6 a.m.
The Cowboy Breakfast is a super-sized Texas breakfast that kicks off the Fair and Rodeo. Enjoy pancakes, authentic chuck wagon biscuits and more at this free event, featuring western-themed entertainment, live music and two-stepping lessons. Free food and fun for all ages.

BBQ Austin @ Travis County Expo Center
Friday, March 4, opens at 11 a.m.
Head out to BBQ Austin, presented by Rodeo Austin, for a day of BBQ, live music and Austin’s largest carnival. Teams from all over Texas will be competing for the title of “BBQ Austin Grand Champion” and will offer free samples to the public. Concerts will take place on the outdoor stage from 2-7:30 p.m. (Tickets online here.)  Fairgrounds admission is $8 for adults, $5 for kids. Parking is $10 at the gate.

Alice in Wonderland @ ZACH Theatre
Friday, March 4, 6:30 p.m.
Go down the rabbit hole and travel to Wonderland! In our unique adaption, the audience starts in the theatre and then will follow Alice around ZACH’s campus to go on an adventure, meet familiar characters, and help defeat the Red Queen! Tickets are $18 for youth and $24 for adults, which you can purchase online here or by calling ZACH’s box office at 512-476-0541 x1.
