Felt Friends World Tour: Pocket Yeti @ Hampton Branch of the Austin Public Library
Monday, Jan. 11, 6:30 – 8  p.m.
Join the Felt Friends World Tour to sew fun, cute and simple felt creatures. The projects use sharp sewing needles and so are recommended for ages 10 and up. Adults are welcome to join in the fun! This week, you can make a pocket yeti. Free.

Teddy Bear Clinic @ Round Rock Public Library
Thursday, Jan. 14, 10 – 11:30 a.m.
The Round Rock Public Library welcomes children to help their stuffed animals get a check-up at a Teddy Bear Clinic featuring healthcare professionals from Baylor Scott and White. Kids, please bring a stuffed animal and be ready to help a doctor or nurse perform a well-check. The Library will have extra stuffed animals available for children who do not bring a toy of their own. All ages are welcome. Free.

The Amazing Acro-Cats @ Paramount Theatre
January 14 – 17, Thurs. & Fri. at 7 p.m., Sat. at 3 p.m. & 7 p.m., Sun. at 1 p.m. & 5 p.m.
This one-hour show features over a dozen fabulous felines (all former orphans, rescues, and strays) walking tightropes, pushing carts, skateboarding, jumping through hoops, ringing bells, balancing on balls and turning on lights. You’ll also get to see The Rock Cats, the only cat band in existence. A portion of every shows’ ticket sales go toward cat and kitten rescue. Tickets are $26 and can be purchased online here.

Get Super Powered Family Night @ The Thinkery
Friday, Jan. 15, 6:30-8:30 p.m.
Calling all superheros…Don’t miss the special after hours family party at the Thinkery. If you’ve ever dreamed of having super powers, this is your chance to put on your cape and your mask and come explore the science and engineering that make real-life super powers possible. Tomás and the Library Lady @ ZACH Theatre
January 15 – February 14, weekend performances at 11 a.m. & 2 p.m.
The next children’s play in ZACH Theatre‘s season of storybook-inspired shows is based on the book by Pat Mora. This show tells an inspirational story of a boy named Tomás who meets a “library lady” who encourages him to read. Youth tickets are $12 and adult tickets are $15, which you can purchase online here or call the box office at 512-476-0541 x1.
