Dr. Seuss: The Whimsy and Wonder of Theodor Geisel @ Art for the People Gallery
Tuesday, Nov. 17, opens at 10 a.m.
Get to know the man behind the cat during Art for the People Gallery’s presentation of the works of Dr. Seuss in collaboration with ARTon5th. Theodor Seuss Geisel’s talent and imagination stretched far beyond his children’s books. Enjoy limited edition artwork from the Secret Art of Dr. Seuss collection, a whimsical, sometimes dark, collection of his personal paintings, and his Unorthodox Taxidermy collection of the craziest wall mount animal sculptures you have ever seen. Tiny Tails to You Storytime @ BookPeople
Wednesday, Nov. 18, 10:30 a.m.
If you’re a fan of chinchillas, bunnies, ducklings, guinea pigs, chickens, AND stories then you’re in luck! Friends from Tiny Tails to You Petting Zoo will be reading stories and introducing some of the cutest, softest, most adorable little creatures in Austin! Free.

Tree Lighting & Santa’s Arrival @ Hill Country Galleria
Thursday, Nov. 19, 6 p.m.
You can take the kids to the 9th Annual Tree Lighting & Santa’s Arrival event! The fun starts at 6 p.m. in the outdoor amphitheater. Welcome Santa to the stage and light the big holiday tree. Afterwards, a 5 minute firework show will take place followed by live music by the Plain White T’s! Enjoy face painting and balloon twisters for the kids. Free event! (Please note that Santa Meet & Greets will not take place during this event, but they will begin on Friday, November 20 at 4 p.m. under the holiday tree.) Architects of Air @ Long Center
Opens Friday, Nov. 20, 11 a.m. – 5 p.m. (runs through Nov. 29)
This stunning installation is truly worth a visit! This is an interactive exhibit to wander through and feel transformed into an amazingly beautiful space. Each luminarium is a dazzling maze of winding paths and soaring domes of light and color. Admission to Architects of Air is $12 per person over 18 years old, $8 for ages 3-17, and children 2 and under are free. Tickets available at the Long Center, same day as entrance.

Austins’ Toy & Comic Show @ Norris Conference Center
Saturday, Nov. 21, 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Check out toys and collectibles, cosplay, costume contests, a puppet show. Meet Star Wars and Texas Power Rangers characters. Pose for photos with the Batmobile and more. Kids under age 12 are free. Admission for ages 12 & up is $5 at the door.
