Enjoy FREE admission to the Texas Memorial Museum during their celebration of National Fossil Day, a nationwide event promoting awareness and appreciation of fossils and the science of paleontology. Special activities will be going on all day including fossil identification and a fossil dig pit.

The Texas Book Festival offers tons of free, family fun for kids of all ages. At this annual event, authors and book lovers take over the grounds of the Texas State Capitol to share the joy of reading. — 2015 Día de los Muertos Festival @ Fiesta Gardens
Saturday, Oct. 17, noon – 10 p.m.
The festival, benefitting Easter Seals of Central Texas, will feature renowned recording artists in the Latin and Texas music industries, including headliner and Grammy Award winner Emilio Navaira. The festival will offer food and beverages, cultural performances, altar contest as well as Kids Zone activities for kids. Children ages 12 & under get in free with paid adults. Tickets are $15, which you can purchase online here.
— Groundwork Music Project Fall Family FUNraiser @ Nutty Brown Cafe
Sunday, Oct. 18, 3-6 p.m.
Enjoy a great afternoon of music and fun with some of Austin’s best musicians, face painting, a bouncy castle and more. Plus, all funds raised at this event will be used to help Groundwork Music Project provide free and low cost music classes to Austin children. Tickets are $5 per person at the door.
