On Saturday, Jan. 24, plan for a day of fresh air and family fun at the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center for the annual Tree Talk Winter Walk. Admission is free at this event from 9 a.m. – 5 pm. Celebrate Texas trees while learning about tree care, browsing a selection of native trees for sale, taking a guided walk, and enjoying lots of really fun activities for kids such as climbing trees, building forts and much more.
During the day, there will be Scavenger Hunts for families, and TreeFolks is providing free native tree saplings to those who complete the scavenger hunt. Check out all of the other fun schedule for the day:

— Tree & Shrub Sale:
Winter is a great time to plant trees. Please bring a wagon to load up your plants. (Cash or checks preferred.)
— The Store & Cafe:
- Thomas Koschmieder will be discussing and signing his Common Tree & Shrub Leaves of Central Texas Guide from 1 – 4 p.m.
- All tree books & walking sticks are 20% off on this day only.
- The Cafe will be in the Arboretum with hot beverages and snack for sale (cash only).
