As summer comes to a close, it’s fun to think back on all the good memories, like the blast we had at our Sound & Cinema season. This annual tradition of paring music & films included Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom with The Echocentrics, A Labyrinth Quote-Along with Sweet Spirit, Footloose with Urban Achievers Brass Band, and finally Tommy Boy with The Midnight Stroll.
We’ll miss this perfect excuse to hang out with friends on the Long Center lawn on a Wednesday, sample bites from Austin’s delicious food trucks, and let the kids stay up past bedtime on a carefree summer night.
We can’t wait to do it again next year, but for now, here’s a look back at some of our favorite memories from Sound & Cinema 2016.
Sound & Cinema was a great place to hang with the entire family.
And a great place to chill with friends.
We loved having so many mouth-watering food options available on site, including the always delicious Garbo’s Lobster Truck and Uncle Louie G’s Italian Ice.
Free live, local music at each event was so awesome!
Screen-printed t-shirts, giveaways, face-painting, costumes, and other activities added to the good times.
The Long Center lawn was the perfect spot to run and play among the prettiest views in Austin.
