Day 2: Gingerbread House Take-Home Kit from Thinkery!
It wouldn’t be the holiday season without Thinkery’s Gingerbread Workshops, but this year they are offered as take-home kits for you to put together in the safety of your own home! They have two different Gingerbread Workshop take-home kits this year: a “Cookie People” kit for all-ages fun, and a full Gingerbread House construction kit for builders age 4+. Each kit also comes with instructions and links to a fun video that takes you inside the Quack’s kitchen (where the gingerbread is baked locally) and includes tips from a professional decorator. Day 3: Wild West Family Pass for a Visit to Pioneer Farms
Enjoy a fun, family field trip to Pioneer Farms. They are giving away a Wild West Family Pass for admission for 2 adults and 3 children! This living history museum in North Austin gives visitors a chance to experience life in the 1800s. Browse historic sites, exhibits and nature trails on self-guided tours. You can explore the grounds, peeking into hold farm houses, red barns, and more. Day 4: Family 4-Pack Admission to the Science Mill!
This holiday season, The Science Mill in Johnson City will be open with expanded dates from December 17 to December 31 to give families more time to play. Explore 50+ interactive exhibits, inside and outdoors, including the newly updated Banana Piano and the return of MindBall, an exhibit powered by brainwaves. Special pop-up experiences include a foot-controlled video game and the Sleigh Racer Challenge, in which kids can use recycled materials to engineer their own sleigh. Day 5: Karting at Circuit of the Americas!
