Zine-Making at Mexic-Arte Museum

The Mexic-Arte Museum will host their free Family Day on Sunday, Jan. 25 from 1-4 p.m. All ages are welcome to attend this public event where you’ll be invited to participate in a zine-making workshop led by artist, Claudia Aparicio-Gamundi. A zine is a self-published and self-circulated magazine, normally containing images and writings.

Claudia Aparicio-Gamundi is an accomplished artist, designer, and co-founder of the Puro Chingon Collective, whose self-published Chingozine has received city wide acclaim.

While you’re at the Mexic-Arte Museum, you’ll be able to check out the new exhibits:

  • Selections from the Contemporary Art Collection
  • Selections from the Changarrito Collection: 2012 – 2014
