Hat Creek Burger Company originally started with humble beginnings by Austin dad and former Longhorn, Drew Gressett and partners who opened it as a food trailer on 6th Street. Hat Creek moved on from the food trailer business and expanded with four restaurant locations (Westlake, Burnet Rd., Georgetown, and Round Rock). But wait ’til you hear where they are going now…
Later this month, we’ll see a brand new Hat Creek in the Domain’s Rock Rose area (corner of Rock Rose Ave. and Esperanza Cr.). At this newest location, we’ll find also find a new type of outdoor play space for kids! With a nod to the company’s food trailer origins, an adorable mini camper will be included in all future Hat Creek restaurants, giving young kids a very cool little area to play in.
Additionally, we can expect to see a new Hat Creek in Lakeway in April! And they just broke ground on their first location outside of the Austin area in McKinney, TX, giving Dallas area families a new place to go. And we’re hearing rumors about possible locations popping up in Buda and Dripping Springs!
Exciting things are happening for Hat Creek, and we can’t wait to check out these new locations. We know that no matter where they are, we can count on them for kid-friendly service and that hometown Austin vibe.
