Rosewood Park: 2300 Rosewood Ave. 78702  /  Playscape: Yes  /  Splash Pad: Yes  /  Pool: Yes

Pool Info: Free, open 1 – 8 pm for recreational swimming M – F, and on weekends from noon – 8 pm until July 5. From July 6 – August 23, the pool will be open from noon – 8 pm daily. Here is the schedule.

Shade: There is no shade over the playscape. It’s completely out in the open and it gets HOT in the summer. However, the splash pad has covered portions, and the pool has some tree coverage.

Parking: There is pretty ample parking at the Rosewood recreation center, and at the gymnasium that is located behind the main building.

Picnic Tables: There are a few and they are shaded.

Grills: There are 3 barbecue pits, according to the Austin Parks site.

Size: The park is 14.22 acres. There is plenty of room to play ball, throw a Frisbee around, spread out and have a picnic, etc…

Notes: The splash pad and size of this park are its highlights. The playscape is great during the fall and spring, but in the summer, it’s just too hot. There is not a lot of seating around the splash pad, so keep that in mind.
