Today:
— It’s a great day for some baseball. See the Round Rock Express take on the Memphis Redbirds at Dell Diamond. Game starts at 7:05 pm, tickets are $7 – $16 and you can buy them here.
— SpringFest kicks off its 2-day affair at The Backyard at Bee Cave with a free screening of Frozen for the kiddos, along with a football field-sized KidZone area where they can enjoy all kinds of fun stuff. There will also be a WineStomp where you can taste several local wines. FREE, fun starts at 6 pm. Wine tasting is $10 for 5 tastings. SpringFest continues on Saturday from 11 am – 7 pm and will have everything from a boat expo, to live music, to vendors and more.
— Relax on the patio of Central Market North and hear some music at the Texas Community Music Festival. Kids can play on the playscape while you unwind with some vino and awesome food. Them Blue Skies, Get it Good and Candace Bellamy will perform.
Tomorrow:
— Bust out the tutus and bongos, it’s time for Eeyore’s Birthday Party at Pease Park from 11 am until dark! Take in all the WEIRD and help support several non profits at this iconic Austin event. The children’s area will be open from 11 am – 4 pm. Dress up and let loose! FREE.
— Earth Day Austin at the Browning Hangar in Mueller is a free day of honoring Earth with speakers, panels and workshops. There will be lots of eco-activities and performances for the kids as well, like building art murals, musicians, magicians and more, 12 – 6 pm.
— Celebrate butterflies with crafts, a cake walk, chalk art, games, face painting, educational activities and the Memorial Butterfly Release at the 16th Annual Butterfly Festival at Emily Ann Theater. Free to attend, 10 am – 4 pm.
— See the innovative and cleverly produced theatrical version of Pinocchio at ZACH Theatre, with showtimes at 11 am and 2 pm. Read our behind-the-scenes look and get your $14 – $16 tickets here.
Sunday:
— See the 12-foot tall and 12-foot wide trucks at Monster Jam fly up to 130 feet in the air AND CRUSH SKUUULLLS (we had to, sorry). They’ll be blowing minds at the Frank Erwin Center at 2 pm. Tickets are $10 – $30 and you can buy them here.
— It’s your LAST CHANCE to see The Stories of Frog and Toad at the Scottish Rite Theater with showtimes at 12:30 pm and 2:30 pm. Read our review and see why you shouldn’t miss it! Tickets are $6 – $9 and you can buy them here.
— The TexARTS Youth Musical Theatre Academy will present a fresh and funny adaptation of Snow White. The Rockin’ Tale of Snow White features new characters and comedic twists, along with catchy songs in hip-hop, doo wop, rock and more. See this fun show at the Kam and James Morris Theater at 2 pm or 6 pm. Tickets are $15 and you can buy them here.
