Smokey Denmark is a family owned and operated processing and meat company that’s been in east Austin since 1964. They supply Austin’s Pizza with all of their meats so, chances are, you’ve sampled some of their goods without even knowing it! You can find hot links, beer brats, kielbasa, andouille, boudin and specialty sausages like weisswurst, hot gut and Czech-style. You can also purchase their pit-smoked meats, as well as hamburger patties and hot dogs. If you’d like to sample their pit-smoked meats, swing by the Smokey Food Truck at 3503 e. 5th St. Monday – Friday from 11 am – 2 pm.

A third-generation master of Texas meats, and well-renowned BBQ guru, John Mueller, has opened John Mueller Meat Co. in an attempt to bring the traditional-style butcher and smokehouse back to Austin. In addition to the amazing BBQ that you can get at Mueller’s, you can also pick up handcrafted sausages, artisan groceries, seasoned meats, homemade relishes and barbecue sauces. The shop is usually closed on Mondays, but they will be open Memorial Day!
