— If you have dino-lovers in your family, get ready to blow their minds! Walking With Dinosaurs The Arena Spectacular roars into Cedar Park Center through Sunday. This amazing show features life-sized dinosaurs. Showtimes are: Friday, Nov. 14, 7 p.m; Saturday, Nov. 15, 11 a.m., 3 p.m., & 7 p.m.; Sunday, Nov. 16, 1 p.m. & 5 p.m. Tickets start at $35 and can be purchased here. Parking is $10.
— It’s the last weekend to enjoy Wurstfest! The “best ten days of sausage history” will be happening in New Braunfels’ Landa Park now through Nov. 16. Take the family for good food, music, dancing, carnival rides and games, German, Texan and domestic beer, and the finest in Alpine and Bavarian Style entertainment. Tickets are $10. Children 12 and under are free. You can also download and print a coupon for buy-one-get-one free admission from the Wurstfest website.
— Take your junior paleontologists to the 24th Annual Fossil Fest (happening both Saturday and Sunday) from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. at Old Settlers Association Meeting Hall (next to the Dell Diamond in Round Rock). Fossil Fest is a fun & educational event for the whole family! $3/adult, $2/child (6-12), children under 6 free.
— Puppet Improv Project is bringing their fun and environmentally conscious production back to the stage. Don’t miss “TRASH” the Musical at the One World Theater at 12 p.m. Tickets are $12 and you can purchase them here.
— Stop by the Grand Opening Party of the Center for Creative Action from 1-4 p.m. At this new community arts center in East Austin, you can create a work of art, join in on the drums, act out a character in the photo booth, watch student films in the movie house, or learn a new craft! Free snacks and drinks will be provided for kids, teens, and adults.
— Pop into La Pâtisserie, and say “happy anniversary”! This delicious local bakery is celebrating their 4th year in business with an Anniversary Party and offering complimentary macarons and beverages all day, from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.
— Don’t miss seeing one of the most popular children’s authors of all time at BookPeople at 12 p.m. R.L. Stine is a master at frightening readers with his spooky stories in his bestselling “Goosebumps” and “Fear Street” series. He will be speaking & signing copies of Party Games, the latest in his young adult series. The speaking portion of the event is free, but tickets are required for the signing. — Sign up for Ballet Austin’s Family Dance Workshop and see excerpts from Ballet Austin’s The Nutcracker, and learn a movement phrase with the help of Ballet Austin dancers. Sessions are offered at 2:30 p.m. & 4:30 p.m., and you can register to participate here. $10 per person and recommended for ages 3 to 12 years old and their family members.
— Take the whole family to Westcave’s 2nd Annual Fall Nature Festival from 11:30 a.m. – 4 p.m. You’ll enjoy archery, family fun arts and crafts, Canyon Tours on the hour, and a pie contest. $5 child (4-12), $10 adult, $25 family.
— A Year with Frog and Toad at ZACH Theatre is a “must see” show for kids! Take the whole family to this high-quality musical production at 2 p.m. or 4:30 p.m. where the characters from Arnold Lobel’s books come to life on stage! Tickets start at $15 and can be purchased online here.
