Plan to bring the whole family out on Sunday, June 28 for the 2015 Family Water Festival at Fiesta Gardens and celebrate the Texas Colorado River and the water resources that keep Austin flowing. You can start your day at 8 a.m. by taking part in the Colorado River Ramble, a SUP, canoe, and kayak race for all ages. Then attend the free Family Water Festival on the shores of Lady Bird Lake from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m., featuring over 30 educational booths with engaging activities, presentations, arts & crafts, food trailers, live music, door prizes and more!

–> About the Colorado River Ramble:
The River Ramble is a fantastic canoe, kayak and SUP race around Lady Bird Lake sponsored by The Expedition School and is appropriate for all age levels and competitive natures. Kid racers (age 4-11) must paddle tandem with an adult or, they can register for our Kids 1K SUP, canoe, and/or kayak race that takes place at noon. Racers 12 years or older may sign up to race solo in the 1.5 mile, 5k, 10k race. There is a Junior class category = ages 12-17 years of age. For more info and to register, click here.
