Round Rock’s Centennial Plaza will transform into a super cool arts festival on Friday, Oct. 2 and Saturday, Oct. 3 at the annual Chalk Walk! Hosted by Round Rock Arts Council, this event is FREE and open to the public. During the Chalk Walk, artists create works of art on the concrete using chalk pastels right before your eyes. In addition to the amazing art, families are invited to check out hands-on kids activities, live music, food vendors and more.
Schedule:
- Friday, October 2: 5 – 10 p.m.
- Saturday, October 3: 10 a.m. – 7 p.m.
— Music: There are two music and performing stages, one focused on adults and the other on children and youth. Grammy award-winning Asleep at the Wheel will perform a free concert on Friday night at 8 p.m. on the main stage. On Saturday, The Biscuit Brothers will be the featured artists on the main stage at 12 p.m., and you can also see performances from Austin City Ballet, Round Rock Ballet Folklorico, and the Round Rock Community Choir. — Activities: In addition to the really talented chalk artists you’ll see, you can also plan to check out live music, art vendors, free activities for kids, street performers, trick dogs, jugglers, hula hoopers, community art experiences, interactive drumming and much more!
