Families are invited to Laguna Gloria on Saturday, Feb. 14 where they can make a miniature underwater ecosystem to explore how nature affects art. Every second Saturday of the month, The Contemporary Austin at Laguna Gloria offers hands-on art-making workshops for children ages 2 – 11. Drop in and create anytime between 11 a.m. – 3 p.m.

John Grade’s “Canopy Tower”

Seattle artist, John Grade, will debut a new installation called Canopy Tower on Saturday, Feb. 14. Canopy Tower resembles a large-scale inverted tower, carved and assembled from Brazilian Ipe wood and suspended from three trees.

Costs:

  • $10 per family
  • $5 for museum members
