My Coding Place

Greater Austin YMCA
Language classes at the YMCA are designed for kids ages three and older and offer a fun learning environment with age-appropriate skill building. Austin Film Festival’s Summer Film Camp
Austin Film Festival’s Summer Film Camp is back for its 22nd year, happening June 3 – July 28 at the First Baptist Church of Austin, with weeklong camps that provide students with the venue, equipment, and instruction they need to create a short film or animation! Morning, afternoon, and day-long sessions are open for students ages 9-18. Young creatives learn the full process of filmmaking, getting them behind the camera and turning their ideas into real movies. Students also participate in inspirational panel discussions with visiting guests. Once camp concludes, all students have the unique opportunity to see their films on the big screen at the annual Summer Film Camp showcase!

Cordovan Art School’s Camps
Any time school is out, Cordovan Art Camp is in! Kids aged 5-16 can take part in a wide variety of visual art programs with Cordovan Art School Camps. Hideout Theater Improv Summer Camps
Campers return year after year to Hideout’s Camps because of the super fun classes, low staff-to-student ratio, community of friends, and awesome location. At Hideout Camps, kids learn the basics of improv, storytelling, and stagecraft mostly through playing games – because you learn better when you are having fun! Every camp day is a blast with games, story creation, scene performing, and crafts.  On the final day, campers will show off their amazing new skills in a performance for friends and family!  Sessions are available from June through August and for ages 5-18 here.

Fantastic Magic Camp

Kids ages 5-13 will have a blast at Fantastic Magic Camp!  Spring Camp from March 11-15 and Summer Camp from May 28 – Aug 16, 9 am – 4 pm. Lone Star Guitar Academy is Austin’s go-to spot for learning and fine-tuning your skills in guitar, bass, ukulele, piano, and drums. Austin Chamber Music Center Summer Workshops
Musicians aged seven through adult can enroll in vibrant, multi-week chamber music camps this July!  Learn from Austin’s leading musicians and visiting teachers while building your skills and confidence – all while having a blast. The Summer Workshop takes place at the Butler School of Music on the UT campus. Activities include small and large ensemble instruction, music elective classes, masterclasses, interactive presentations, and a formal performance in Bates Recital Hall.
