Austin Empty Bowl Project

On Sunday, Nov. 23 you can join the community at a great event to help fight hunger in Austin. Each year on the Sunday before Thanksgiving, the Austin Empty Bowl Project organizes a family-friendly event where you can purchase a locally crafted ceramic bowl, have it filled with gourmet soup & bread and listen to live music while enjoying your lunch. This event, which takes place from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. at the Marchesa Hall & Theatre, raises money for Kids Cafe, a program of the Capital Area Food Bank, and Meals for Kids, a program of Meals on Wheels & More.
