Local aquaponics farm, Heart of Gold Organics, has partnered with The Capital Area Food Bank to produce & distribute fresh, organic greens to families in need in Austin through the Farm Fresh Accessibility Project. Head to the Heart of Gold Farm in Dale, TX on Sunday, Nov. 23 from 2 p.m. to sunset for the Project Launch Party with music, hayrides, lawn games, petting zoo, food trucks, tours and more!
Heart of Gold Organics is a six-acre aquaponics farm between Austin and Lockhart, TX. This season they will be donating basil, several varieties of lettuce, kale, chard, and collard greens to the Capital Area Food Bank who will then distribute the greens to over three hundred food pantries and other charities.
