There are few things in sports quite like professional bull riding (PBR) – it remains the most intense and exciting eight seconds in sports. Fold in the lights, music, pyro, and adrenaline-packed atmosphere, combined with the grit and athleticism of the riders competing in bull riding games create a PBR experience unlike any other.
In 2022, PBR launched a new league accompanying the individual competition – PBR Teams. PBR Teams features a 10-event regular season schedule among eight founding teams; the October Championship takes place in Las Vegas. Each team hosts a three-day weekend while also competing in two two-day neutral-site events. Every event showcases traditional eight-second bull rides structured in a tournament-style format with all teams at each event competing in head-to-head games.
Tickets & Schedule
The Austin Gamblers will host their second-annual homestand and fifth event of the 2023 regular season, PBR Gambler Days presented by Tecovas, on August 25-27, 2023, at Moody Center. During the event, the Gamblers will face the Kansas City Outlaws (August 25), Texas Rattlers (August 26), and Oklahoma Freedom (August 27). During the 2022 regular season, the Gamblers went 2-2 against the Outlaws, Rattlers, and Freedom. The game against the Rattlers will mark the second of four matchups in the battle to be crowned the top team in the Lone Star State. Tickets start at just $26. Gamblers Family Day
Sunday, August 27
Sunday, August 27th is Gamblers Family Day! It’s also Championship Sunday! Three days. Eight teams. One Champion. Be there to witness all the excitement, see who will be crowned the 2nd annual PBR Gambler Days Champion, and enjoy all the family fun. To end the weekend with a bang, Texas country and Billboard hot country chart-topping artist, Kevin Fowler will perform live on Sunday from 12:30-1:30 pm.

What to expect at a pro bull riding event
The PBR Team Series builds on the existing structure of professional bull riding with the same basic rules for judging and scoring qualified 8-second bull rides. Events will be staged in a tournament-style format with all teams competing in head-to-head match-ups against a different opponent each day. Each game will feature five riders per team squaring off against another team. Full team rosters will be comprised of seven riders on the core roster and three practice squad members. The team with the highest aggregate score of qualified rides among its riders will be declared the winner of each game. The event winner will be the team with the most game wins across an event, with a special bonus round designed as a tie-breaker to determine final event standings.
