One of our favorite Halloween events is back this year with delightfully, frightfully fun symphonic music! The Austin Symphony Orchestra presents their annual Halloween Children’s Concert on Sunday, October 24 at 3 p.m. at the Long Center. The entire family is invited to dress up in your favorite costumes and enjoy “boo-tiful” music in Dell Hall, which will be decorated for the occasion.
This exciting concert is designed for young eyes and ears (ages 2–10), and is a great opportunity to introduce your kids to live orchestral music. The main feature of the performance will be from the fairy tale opera Hansel and Gretel by Engelbert Humperdinck. While the music plays, Bernadette Nason will narrate the classic story of this brother and sister who fall into the hands of a witch who lives in a house made of gingerbread and have to be clever in their escape.

JOHN WILLIAMS: Star Wars Suite for Orchestra
