Oh Fall — what a lovely season! Hayrides, pumpkins, apple cider, kettle corn, family fun in the (slightly) cooler temperatures. What better place to get a real sense of the season than Barton Hill Farms? Barton Hill Farms is set amongst 100-year-old cottonwood trees, rolling grassy hills and the picturesque Colorado River in Bastrop, TX. Their Fall Festival & Corn Maze kicks off on Saturday, Sept. 27 and is the perfect setting for some outdoor family fun with games, a corn maze, pumpkin patch, farm animals and more.

The Fall Festival and Corn Maze will be open Saturdays 10 a.m. – 10 pm. and Sundays 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. from Sept. 27 – Nov. 9, 2014.

This year’s corn maze has a University of Texas Longhorns theme, and on Saturday evenings you can try navigating the maze by flashlight from dusk ’til 10 p.m.

In addition to the maze, you can head to the pumpkin patch in search of the perfect pumpkin to paint there or take home with you to carve. The kids will also enjoy visiting with the farm animals, pillow jumping, face painting, a barrel train, and steer dummy roping. Also, Barton Hill Farms has a fifty-foot replica of an early Texas maritime schooner and a replica an 1800s era Texas Fort for children and adults to enjoy. Plus there’s live country music and lots of food to choose from (take note that no outside food is allowed).
