As the number one best-selling chapter book series of all time, Mary Pope Osborne’s Magic Tree House series has been delighting children with amazing tales of adventure. Now kids can watch a book come to life on stage at the Paramount Theatre on Sunday, January 12 as The Magic Tree House: Showtime with Shakespeare is performed at 2 p.m. This new hip hop musical is based on Stage Fright on a Summer Night and comes to Austin from New Jersey Performing Arts Center in association with George Street Playhouse for one showtime only.
Recommended for kids in 1st – 5th grades, this show features Jack and Annie being whisked to Elizabethan England. There, the daring sibling duo meets William Shakespeare himself—one of the greatest writers of all time and learns that no matter what, the show must go on!
