Creek Show, a beautiful display of illuminated art installations, has been one of Austin’s most unique, buzzed-about events of the past decade and it’s back this November 8 – 16, 2024. This multi-night display of illuminated art also includes live music, food vendors, and family-friendly hands-on activities each night from 6 pm – 10 pm.
This year, Creek Show will require an online reservation to attend, and there are multiple options for these reservations including free and low-cost. All of the proceeds benefit Waterloo Greenway, whose mission is to create and maintain a new 35-acre urban park system, in partnership with the City of Austin. Read on for more.
Each year, Creek Show commissions site-specific work by Austin-based architects, landscape architects, artists, and designers. Artists explore different themes related to Waterloo Greenway, from history to hydrology and beyond.
The Creek Show spans along Waller Creek from 12th Street to 10th Street, and at the end of the exhibit, make a stop at the Creek Show Lounge at Swim Club, which will include family-friendly games, music, and food and beverages for purchase. With your Creek Show wristband, you’ll get a discount for deals in the Red Diver Cultural Business from November 8 – 16. You’re encouraged to use CapMetro, rideshare, walk, or bike when possible, and there is limited paid parking around the Red River Cultural District.
