Discover Family-Friendly Music with Groundwork Music Project

Groundwork Music Project offers a rare treat: family-friendly concerts where both kids and adults can have a great time. Their performances strike the perfect balance—engaging for children, without sacrificing quality musicianship or thoughtful songwriting that grown-ups will appreciate too.

This spring and summer, Groundwork is hosting a full lineup of live concerts that invite families to experience music together. These community-centered events often feature young performers from Groundwork’s own music education programs, giving kids a chance to shine on stage.

One of the youngest players to perform is fifteen-year-old Daniel, who first attended the monthly Cherrywood events when he was just three years old. He later became a Groundwork ukulele student, and he is now a proficient guitar and ukulele player on his way to becoming a regularly paid member of the band.

Whether your child is already playing an instrument or just loves music, these performances offer a fun, inspiring way to spend time together. Don’t miss the chance to enjoy live music with your family in a way that feels inclusive and uplifting for all ages. Classes:

Groundwork Music Project is all about making music education accessible to every child. Their mission is to offer free and affordable music lessons, so that cost is never a barrier to learning and creativity.

Through their programs, kids don’t just learn to play an instrument—they learn to play ukulele, move to rhythm, carry a tune, sing, perform with confidence, and collaborate with others to create something original. It’s a fun, hands-on way to build skills that go far beyond music.
