When we put out a call for artwork for our Face Mask Design Challenge last month, we were blown away by how many awesome designs we received! We can surely see that Austin is full of talented kids who also know how to spread love, kindness and joy!
After narrowing the contest down to five finalists, readers helped choose our winner — 1st grader, Kaelee! Her winning artwork is now being produced in collaboration with local screen printing shop, Fine Southern Gentlemen, with proceeds going to Make-A-Wish Central and South Texas.
Order your mask online! Masks are sold in both adult and kid sizes for $10 a piece with $2 per mask going to Make-A-Wish. While we are all going through this challenging time together, we hope wearing this brings you some mask-covered smiles!
About the Artist: Kaelee is a seven-year-old Texan with a heart full of hospitality. She knows what it means to be a good neighbor, and quite literally too. When a new family with young children moved in a few doors down, Kaelee was quick to welcome them to the neighborhood with a sweet note introducing herself and her younger sister. We appreciate her welcoming spirit and her sentiment that we are ALL in this together!
Thank you to all the amazing kids who sent in artwork, and thank you to those who plan to purchase a mask in support of Make-A-Wish Central & South Texas.
