If you’re looking for some Valentine-y fun, bring your family to Central Market North for Creative Action’s FriendFest, happening Saturday, Feb. 8 from 11 am – 2 pm! Do512 Family is proud to sponsor this FREE event and provide families with an afternoon of fun Valentines Day crafts, treats, live music and a Friendship Parade!
Even with all that free fun happening, you’ll be happiest to chat with the Creative Action folks and learn all about their amazing summer camps, after school programs and other kid-oriented classes. Creative Action is a local non-profit organization whose mission is to spark and support academic, social and emotional development in young people. They aim to encourage kids to become creative artists, courageous allies, critical thinkers, and confident leaders in their community. Creative Action staff and volunteers will be on hand to provide more information about upcoming camps and to answer any questions you may have.
You can get a head start on those valentines at FriendFest! Kids (and adults) are invited to create friendship bracelets, make cards for your valentines young and old, decorate cookies and watch sweet food demos with tastings! Do512 Family will be handing out treats from Baked by Amy’s!
Enjoy live music from Seu Jacinto, an Austin-based Brazilian band!
The huge playscapes at Central Market North have never seen alack of little playmates and the outdoor deck has never seen a band without a few happy dancing feet, so come ready to wear your dancing shoes!
