No matter the season, Austinites sure love their frozen treats, which is why we’re happy to share the scoop on the latest addition to our local ice cream scene — Frozen Rolls Creamery. Frozen Rolls Creamery opened this winter at 704 North Lamar Boulevard and serves up delicious Thai-style rolled ice cream.

With Thai-style rolled ice cream, your dessert is made right before your eyes, easily customized to your tastes, and fresh as can be. At Frozen Rolls Creamery, the ice creams are handcrafted on the spot where an ice cream base is poured onto an anti-griddle that is cooled to negative temperatures. After the mixture cools, the ice cream is scraped into rolls and finished off with your favorites drizzles and toppings such as condensed milk, cookies, cereals, candies, and nuts.

Because the ice cream is made for each individual guest, there are many vegan options available as well as creamy choices with such flavors as vanilla, strawberry, matcha, and black sesame. Delicious combinations include the Monkey Business (banana & Nutella), and Coconut Volcanic Ash (coconut ash & toasted coconut flakes), Key Lime (freshly squeezed lime & graham crackers), and more.
