Taking the kids to the movies can be an awesome boredom buster for long hot summer days. And movies are all the better when they are free! Mark your calendars for The Harry Ransom Center‘s Young Adventurers Film Series that kicks off on Saturday, June 6, at 3 p.m. This film series run in conjunction with the center’s current Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland exhibit. Throughout the month of June, you can check out four different kids movies.

- June 6, 3 p.m. — Alice in Wonderland (1951)
- June 13, 3 p.m. — James and the Giant Peach
- June 20, 3 p.m. — Coraline
- June 27, 3 p.m. — Where the Wild Things Are
The film series is free and open to the public, but donations are welcome. Seating is first-come, first-served, and doors open at 2:30 p.m.
Attendees may enter to win a gift basket from Terra Toys, including sparklers, a stuffed rabbit, a glitter bracelet, an “Alice” coloring book, an “Alice” travel journal, and a $20 gift card to Terra Toys.
