Just as the weather gets cooler and we’re seeking indoor family entertainment, we are excited to welcome a brand new play center to Northwest Austin — Indigo Play! Text your friends and schedule a playdate because the kids will have a ball in this huge 19,000 square-foot playland that has just opened! With a unique concept that sets this center apart from others, Indigo Play is a European-style indoor experience, brought to Austin by a local family with young kiddos of their own hoping to to build community through play.Indigo Play invites curious kids (designed for babies through age 10) to unleash their imaginations on a little journey around the world via hidden passages through the tombs of Egypt, areal glides through the Amazon rainforest, mazes between Aztec temples, and a 25-foot, 4-lane wavy slide. Even the adults are sure to learn a thing or two!

We had the chance to visit Indigo Play for an early sneak peek, and think you’re going to especially love the attention to detail. Every feature is designed for children to learn as they play, and the facility is thoughtfully laid out so that adults can see their little ones at all times. The sensory room and the large Usborne book store were also highlights on our visit!The space invites kids to enjoy at their own pace and includes such areas as:

  • Baby & Toddler Area
  • Sensory Room
  • Role Play Area
  • Three-level Mega Structure
  • Sport Court

As with most indoor centers, socks are required as are waivers, and soon they will be offering birthday party packages, too. You can find more info and FAQs on the Indigo Play website, indigoplay.com.

Hours & Pricing: Indigo Play is open Monday – Saturday 9 a.m. – 8 p.m.; Sunday: 9 a.m. – 6 p.m. You’ll be able to play all day for one entrance fee with the the option to come and go during that day (and parents can take advantage of free WiFi, too).
