With relaxing days and looser schedules, summer break is a great time for kids to explore and express their creativity. Summer Writing Camps at Kids with Pens allow kids to tap into their creative minds while also sneaking in some writing practice, too. Kids with Pens offers summer camps for beginning writers to budding novelists, ages 9-17, with locations in Central Austin, Westlake, Georgetown and Wimberley.
Kids will craft stories, poems and plays, all while learning splendiferous new vocabulary words. They will share their work with one another, strengthening presentation skills and boosting confidence. Each day includes innovative and inspiring writing prompts and lessons on the fundamentals of storytelling. Kids laugh, shout, play games and move their bodies, and then write about it. All students will be published on the Kids With Pens blog at the end of the summer, allowing them to brag to their friends that they are published authors!
Kids With Pens Creative Writing Camps are offered on a weekly basis from 9 a.m. – noon, Monday through Friday. For more information and to register online, you can visit their website here. If you have questions, you can contact Carolyn at [email protected]
