Lady Bird Day at the Wildflower Center

Lady Bird Johnson was a truly spectacular woman and such a champion for the environment. With her influence, President Johnson’s administration enacted more than 200 environmental laws with lasting national and local impact. The Wildflower Center annually honors their namesake and founder on Lady Bird Day, which takes place this year on Saturday, July 25, 2020. The community is invited to celebrate Mrs. Johnson’s environmental legacy with free admission to the Center from 9-5 p.m., with advanced reservations required for timed entry (while availability lasts).

While admission is free on Lady Bird Day, this is also a nice time to consider making a donation to the Wildflower Center to help keep Lady Bird’s conservation legacy for generations to come. It’s easy to make a donation in any amount online here.

Even if you don’t make it over the the Wildflower Center on July 25, you can celebrate Lady Bird Day wherever you are with ideas on the Center’s webpage that includes videos, audio stories, Mrs. Johnson’s recipes, family-friendly activities and more.
