In preparation for the Austin Mini Maker Faire that’s scheduled to rock our worlds on Saturday, May 3, local makers have signed up to make appearances at local libraries where kids can Meet the Maker and participate in various activities.

- Wednesday, Apr. 23 at 7 pm -> Build robots with Domi Arigato, Making Robotos @ Windsor Park Branch.
- Saturday, Apr. 26 at 1 pm -> Pop up for a shockingly inventive Thomas Edison demonstration @ Recycled Reads Bookstore.
- Wednesday, Apr. 30 at 7 pm -> Get artsy and fun with drawing @ Old Quarry Branch.
The Austin Mini Maker Faire will be at the Travis County Expo Center on Saturday, May 3 from 10 am – 7 pm. The faire celebrates the DIY mindset and encourages project-making by showcasing all kinds of amazing projects. Kids can get inspired by other people’s craftiness and can give it a go for themselves at the many arts, crafts, science and engineering project areas. If you buy your tickets online they’ll only $8.50 for ages 3 – 18 and $11.50 for adults, price will be increased day of at the faire. Check out austinmakerfaire.com for more info.
