To make a visit to the Austin Trail of Lights even more magical than it already is, you can plan ahead for a fun family night out on Tuesday, Dec. 18 when Austin Parks Foundation presents Movie Night on the Trail! Families are welcome to hop aboard a story-time reading of “The Polar Express,” at 7:30 p.m., before the film screening of the holiday classic at 8 p.m. Admission to the Trail is FREE that evening from 7-10 p.m, and the first 300 people will get free hot chocolate and silver bells!

Grab a bag of kettle corn or one of the many food and drink options on the Trail, bring a blanket and snuggle up for to watch the movie under the stars (and millions of twinkling lights) in Zilker Park.

Take note that General Admission is free for all guests on Tuesday, Dec. 18 (no GA tickets required), and it’s open from 7-10 p.m. However, if you’d like to avoid the lines and crowds, you can purchase a ZIP FAST Pass that gives you early access to the Trail at 6 p.m., an exclusive ZIP entrance, complimentary cookies and cocoa, and access to the Zilker Lounge with heated bathrooms and a seating area.
