If Laguna Gloria wasn’t a magical enough landscape all on its own, the Contemporary Austin Sound Series takes it a step further.

Experience twelve trombonists positioned around the lagoon playing meditative music written by Canadian composer and sound theorist R. Murray Schafer. Music for Wilderness Lake is piece of environmental music explores the natural soundscape present at sunset and sunrise. They will be playing alongside Orly Genger’s beautiful outdoor sculptural work.

Come enjoy Music for Wilderness Lake cued by flags from a raft, while you enjoy from the beautiful banks of Laguna Gloria. Each performance lasts approximately 30 minutes. Ice cream from Teo Gelato will be sold on Friday night and there will be coffee for Saturday’s early risers!

Free and open to the public!
