Barton Springs Pool
Start the day early at this iconic spring-fed pool in Zilker Park. It’s 68°F year-round, so it’s a refreshing way to beat the heat right off the bat.
Tip: Locals go early to avoid crowds.

Lady Bird Lake Trail Loop and Zilker Park
Looking for a workout? This iconic loop winds along Lady Bird Lake, offering scenic skyline views and easy access to Zilker Park.
Bonus: Spend time in Zilker Park by sunbathing, playing summer games, or competing on the sand volleyball courts.

Mozart’s Coffee Roasters
Head to the lakeside patio for a relaxing iced coffee and some breakfast tacos or pastries with views of Lake Austin. I recommend bringing some extra bread to feed the fish!

Juiceland (Barton Springs Rd)
This Austin favorite offers fresh juices, smoothies, bars, and more. Head over for a great start to your summer day!

Beat the heat with an indoor dose of culture near UT. At the Blanton Museum of Art, you can experience breathtaking art installations that reflect both global and Austin-based culture.
Nearby, the Bullock Texas State History Museum explores Texas’s rich past—and don’t miss the IMAX theater for an immersive bonus experience!

Texas State Capitol
Looking for some AC with a side of history? The Texas State Capitol is the perfect spot to wind down and enjoy free, air-conditioned tours, plus beautiful views from the grounds if you feel like walking under the shade.
