Stone Soup at the Long Center

A new production from Summer Stock Austin will be at the Long Center July 26 – August 9 inside the Rollins Theatre. Improv For Families – Sundays at Hideout Theatre

Every Sunday at 2 pm in Hideout Theatre, an improv group known as The Flying Theater Machine, puts on a fun and interactive show for kids. The theme is chosen by the group — which is The Pirates of Hideout Cove during July and August — and kids help out with crafting the plot and storyline so every Sunday show is different. Kids are even given the opportunity to become part of the show and spend a bit of time on stage with the actors!

What to Know About Zilker’s Summer Musical

Seeing Oklahoma! at Zilker Hillside Theater is one of the activities on the Austin Summer Fun Checklist for Kids. We have a guest post from Heidi Okla, who took her kids to see Oklahoma! to gather helpful information for other parents wanting to go. While you’re out and about having fun this summer, take some photos on Instagram and use #AustinSummerFun to win prizes! We’re giving away a free haircut from Birds Barbershop and a meal from Top Notch this week, so start tagging!
