North Austin families, take note that there’s a new Summer Camp opportunity for your budding young artists. The 620 Art Gallery & Studio in Round Rock will celebrate their Grand Opening on June 13 as a gathering space for the community centered around art, expression and creativity for all ages. In addition to being a new space to showcase local and regional fine art, it’s also a great new spot for Classes and Summer Camps.

Owned and operated by Amie Gonser, local Round Rock artist and elementary art teacher, 620 Art Gallery & Studio offers art education for all ages in a relaxed, comfortable and well-organized setting. Amie has over twenty years of experience teaching art in many capacities. All additional instructors are certified teachers as well as professional artists.

This summer, children ages 5-12 have the exciting opportunity to enter the doors or a real, working fine art gallery to participate in weekly summer art camps. Students will have fun creating art while using a variety of media, tools, and processes such as painting, drawing, printmaking, collage, and sculpture — completing several projects over the course of the week. 620 Art Gallery & Studio offers a fun, safe and comfortable environment where children can let their creativity flow.

Of course, the safety of students is top priority. 620 Art Gallery & Studio will be limiting camps to 10 students providing each student with their own supplies to use for the duration of camp, and sanitizing supplies after each student’s use. Read more about their safety precautions here.

Schedule & Registration: Beginning June 15, students can take part in morning, afternoon, or full day sessions. Visit 620art.com to learn more and to register your child. You can also call (512) 662-1188 or email [email protected] with any further questions.

More Happenings at the Gallery: In addition to camps, 620 Art Gallery has programs for teens, classes for adults, wine & painting nights, and more! Take note that their first exhibition, “Land/escapes” will be displayed in the Gallery June 13-31 with an opening reception on Friday, June 26 from 6:30pm-8pm. Stay tuned to their Facebook page for news and events.
