The Austin Artery is back with another round of summer art camps for creative Austin kiddos. While the camps may focus on principles of art, Austin Artery takes pride in cultivating confidence and creativity in school-aged kids, with more emphasis on the creative process than the finished product. The week-long daycamp fosters critical thinking and collaboration skills while providing a fun outlet for creation.
The camps are offered at four locations around the city including Cedar Park, Hyde Park, North and South Austin. Camp sessions includes such fun themes as claymation, fiber arts, origami & paper crafting, and Create your Own Castle — great for a variety of ages and abilities. Camps are divided by age groups: 5-7 year olds and 8-11 year olds. The sessions are held Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. At $295 for the 5-day program, there’s also early and aftercare available to parents with those long days.
You can head over to the Austin Artery website to “meet” this summer’s teachers and learn about the diverse group of professional artists leading the camps. You’ll also be able to register online for your sessions of choice at www.theaustinartery.com.
