Austin Aquarium – Review

November 2013 saw the opening of the Austin Aquarium, an anticipated addition to the Austin area. Located off of Anderson Mill Rd., the aquarium houses 35 exhibits that feature a wide variety of amphibians, an interactive Lorikeet Aviary and a slew of cold water and tropical fish. There are also sharks, a stingray touch tank and reptiles. We finally had a chance to check out the aquarium, and we’re pleased to announce that it was a hit with us and the kids!

Sleep with the Sharks

You can Sleep with the Sharks starting this Friday at the Austin Aquarium and even enjoy a little time with Santa as well.  Beginning Friday, Dec. 20, the aquarium is offering public sleepovers which includes shark and octopus viewing and feeding and a behind-the-scenes tour of Austin’s newest attraction.  In addition, Santa will be making after-hours appearances at all three sleepovers this weekend (Friday, Dec. 20, Saturday Dec. 21 and Sunday, Dec. 22).  There will be additional opportunities for public and private sleepovers after this weekend.
