Summer Nature Camps at McKinney Roughs Nature Park

The Summer Nature Camps at McKinney Roughs Nature Park provide the perfect outdoor camp experience. In week-long sessions divided by age groups ranging from age 5 to 15, kids get to explore the Lost Pines woods, play camp games and learn about the woods and the animals that live there. Campers will learn wilderness survival skills and go rafting on the Colorado River. Older campers will experience more advanced nature science studies as well as personal and team building challenges, and teenagers can learn the skills of a naturalist and outdoor leader.

Summer Camp at the Expedition School

If you’re looking for a camp where your kids can get rowdy (but safe) in the great outdoors, then you need to check out the Expedition School. Located in East Austin next to Fiesta Gardens, the camp not only provides the opportunity for kids to kayak, canoe and SUP, but kids will also learn important lessons like how to protect the environment, along with safety instruction and medical training like CPR and basic first aid.
