One thing we love about Austin’s brewery scene is how many spots welcome the whole family. We’re talking playgrounds, big outdoor spaces, good food, and plenty of room for the kids to run around while the grown-ups catch up over a beer (or whatever floats your boat). We’ve rounded up some of our favorite family-friendly breweries around Austin, along with recommendations from our readers.

— Meanwhile Brewing Co.
3901 Promontory Point Dr.
This HUGE space in Southeast Austin is a great spot to bring along the kids and meet up with friends. You’ll find a great playground, tons of picnic tables, a great menu, and even a a new ice cream shop, Meanwhile Creamery. They offer a variety of fun events, including music concerts and movie nights, so be sure to check their website’s calendar of events regularly.

— Fitzhugh Brewing
15435 Fitzhugh Road
Fitzhugh Brewing has a gorgeous playscape, and this brewery is super kid-friendly and dog-friendly. At Fitzhugh, you’ll find a great selection of beer, wine, and food options including kids’ meals, burgers, tacos, and pretzels. You can also check out their vents lineup here.

— Austin Beerworks, Sprinkle Valley
10300 Springdale Rd. 
Austin Beerworks’ Sprinkle Valley location in Northeast Austin has plenty to keep the whole family entertained. There’s a playground, a huge outdoor beer garden, an 18-hole disc golf course, and plenty of space for kids to run around. Parents can enjoy a great selection of craft beers, plus cider, wine, and nonalcoholic options, while everyone can grab a bite from the onsite food trucks. There’s also indoor seating when the Texas weather isn’t cooperating.

— Oddwood Brewing
3108 Manor Road
Oddwood Brewing is a great East Austin spot for families, with a playground and an arcade (the Oddcade!) full of vintage games, pinball, and old-school favorites. The food menu is pretty great, too, with thin-crust personal pizzas, Caesar salads, wings, tots, and a dedicated kids’ menu. 1305 W Oltorf St.
The Austin Beer Garden Brewing Company (ABGB) is a South Austin favorite, and you’ll almost always see families hanging out here. With big picnic tables, plenty of outdoor seating, great pizza, and award-winning craft beers, it’s an easy spot to bring the kids along. They also host free live music throughout the week, and there’s plenty of free parking.

— Jester King Brewery
13187 Fitzhugh Rd.
This farmhouse brewery in Southwest Austin is a definite favorite among parents. With great pizza on-site and lots of outdoor space, yard games, and all the goats, it’s a good spot to keep the kiddos happy.

— St. Elmo Brewing Company
440 E St Elmo Rd G-2 & 8110 Springdale Rd
St. Elmo has two Austin locations, but the newer Springdale spot is especially great for families, with a dedicated kids’ playscape, spacious patios, and plenty of indoor seating. You’ll also find food trucks serving pizza, tacos, and fried chicken, plus coffee and nonalcoholic drinks. Both locations host live music and fun events, and Springdale even has a weekly Kids Corner with storytime, crafts, and activities for little ones. Our kids love going to Pinthouse for pizza and the small selection of vintage arcade games. We love the open seating, casual vibes, and award-winning craft brews. Pop into any of their four local locations.

— Fast Friends Beer Co.
7313 N Interstate 35 Frontage Rd.
Fast Friends is a great South Austin spot to bring the kids, with a big outdoor space, a playground, and plenty of room to run around. There’s also a kitchen serving pizzas and other bites, plus craft beer and nonalcoholic options. Grab a picnic table, let the kids play, and enjoy a laid-back afternoon with friends!

4700 W Fitzhugh Rd, Dripping Springs
Another reader favorite! 12 Fox Beer Co. has a huge lawn, a playscape for the kids, and plenty of space to spread out and enjoy the Hill Country scenery. You’ll find food trucks, beer, wine, cider, and live music, plus dogs are welcome, too. A great spot to spend an afternoon with the whole family!

— Rentsch Brewery
2500 NE Inner Loop #3105, Georgetown
If you’re up in Georgetown, Rentsch Brewery is a great spot to hang out with the kids. There’s a big, shaded beer garden with yard games, plenty of seating, and room for everyone to spread out. You’ll find German-style and American craft beers, nonalcoholic options, rotating food trucks, and live music. Bonus for parents of picky eaters: You can bring your own food or have something delivered!

1615 Crozier Ln, Del Valle
Located near the airport, Live Oak has plenty of room to kick back and enjoy a cold beer and fresh food from The Black Forest. This family-friendly venue also has a 9-hole disc golf course and welcomes well-behaved, furry friends on a leash, too.

— Bluebonnet Beer Company
1700 Bryant Drive #107, Round Rock
A true family-run business, this brewery started in 2013 as the dream of a husband and wife team to share flavorful, award-winning craft beers with the community. Keep track of their food truck schedule and special events on their Facebook page.

— Vista Brewing
13551 Ranch to Market Rd 150, Driftwood
Vista Brewing is well worth the drive to Driftwood, especially with kids in tow! This beautiful 21-acre Hill Country property has tons of outdoor space, shady picnic tables, forts, and a treehouse-style playscape. There’s also a great farm-to-table menu with plenty of options for kids, plus craft beer, wine, and cider for the grown-ups. They host live music throughout the week and serve Sunday brunch, too. A pretty great way to spend an afternoon!

— Roughhouse Brewing
680 Oakwood Loop, San Marcos
If you’re up for a little drive, Roughhouse Brewing is a great spot to spend an afternoon with the family. This farmhouse brewery has a laid-back Hill Country feel, with shady oak trees, plenty of picnic tables, and a small play area for the kids. There’s also a kitchen serving pizzas, sandwiches, and other bites, plus plenty of outdoor space to explore. Keep an eye on their calendar for live music and special events!

— Old Gregg Brewing
1900 E Howard Ln., Pflugerville
Old Gregg Brewing is a fun find for North Austin and Pflugerville families! Kids can climb around on the outdoor play structures, including a rope climbing web, while parents enjoy a cold beer and some fresh air. There’s also plenty of outdoor seating, yard games, and food trucks, making it an easy spot to spend an afternoon with the whole family.
