Plan the ultimate stress-free birthday party for your child at Thinkery! Not only will your little ones love the awesome festivities hosted at Austin’s favorite museum for children, but you can let the staff there take care of all that party prep. No need to clean your home, worry about weather conditions, or book entertainment — Thinkery will handle it all for you.
We personally love Thinkery as a pace to play and explore science themes, launch rockets, go shopping in a pretend farmer’s market, enjoy water play, painting, crafts and much more. But in addition having full access to museum exhibits, party guests will have a private room and lots of options for hands-on, interactive activities led by Thinkery’s amazing educators.
When you opt for a Deluxe Birthday Party, your special event kicks off with self-guided activities to entertain guests as they gather in the room, then you can experience a 45–60 minute educator-led activity (your choice of themes, noted below). Additionally, each participating child leaves with a free pass to return to Thinkery.
Deluxe party packages allow for up to 35 guests (15 participating children) and includes a two-hour private birthday party room, all party decorations, special t-shirt for the birthday child, party educators and support staff. A party costs $265 for for Members and $295 for non-Members, which you can book online here.

- Mini Masterpieces – Ages 0–4
Inspire your child’s imagination and self-expression as you explore abstract art. Each child creates two canvas art pieces to take home. - Pig Party – Ages 0–4
This toddler focused hands-on party will have your guests wee, wee, weeing all the way home! Educator-led activities begin with story time and then guests explore pig-related activities with kinetic sand and even make pigs fly! - Art-rageous – Ages 5 & up
Art is fun at any age! Grab a paint brush and join us for abstract art, color exploration and some art-rageously fun projects. Have a blast, get creative and make a mess—and don’t worry about the cleanup. - Scribble Bot – Ages 5 & up
Build a robot that draws a crazy piece of art. Using a motor, battery and recyclable materials this motorized contraption made by participants moves in unusual ways and leaves a mark to trace its path.
