Jamie Doesn’t Want to Take a Bath  @ The Long Center
Thursday, March 31, shows at 9:30 a.m. & 11 a.m.
Take the little ones Pollyanna Theatre Company’s new play for young children (best for ages 2-4). Jamie and her mommy usually have lots of fun each night as they go through their ritual of getting ready for bed. But Mommy is surprised when suddenly, the night before Jamie’s first day at pre-school, Jamie simply refuses to take her bath. Young audience members will watch while Mommy tries all sorts of things to get Jamie into the tub and to bed on time. Tickets are $6 and can be purchased online here. (This show runs through Saturday, April 2.)

Austin Spring Home & Garden Show @ Palmer Event Center
Friday, April 1, 2-7 p.m.
From spring cleaning and planting to home improvement, the 11th Annual Austin Spring Home & Garden Show, will be blooming with new ideas, fresh tips and the hottest home trends. As always, you’ll find plenty of activities for kids. Adult admission is $8.50 per person, and kids 16 & under are free. Save on admission when you get tickets online here.

Head down to South Congress Ave. for the first night of this free, annual festival of community street bands. HONK!TX is a nonprofit, community-driven festival that brings brass bands from around the country to perform an array of genres ranging from European Klezmer and Balkan, to New Orleans second-line brass music.
