— Veterans Day!
Wednesday, Nov. 11
On this day, we honor all who served in the U.S. Armed Forces, and there are several celebrations happening in Austin. You can check out the Veterans Day Parade at  9:30 a.m. that proceeds up Congress Ave. to the Texas State Capitol where a ceremony will take place at 11 a.m. on the south steps. You can also check out a FREE Stars Vs. Stripes softball game where local veterans will take on players from University of Texas at 6 p.m. And the whole family can enjoy free admission at LBJ Library. Family Movie Matinee: Inside Out @ Austin Public Library Cepeda Branch
Thursday, Nov. 12, 4 p.m.
Head to the library after school to get in touch with your feelings!  Meet your friends for this free showing of Inside Out.

Creek Show @ Waller Creek
Thursday, Nov. 12, 6 p.m.
Presented by the Waller Creek Conservancy, Creek Show is a family-friendly event that includes five light-based art installations. This cool artwork is best viewed at night and are all located along Waller Creek between 5th St and 8th St. They’ll be up from November 12 to November 21. During the opening night festivities, you can enjoy music from a DJ, get food and drink specials from Easy Tiger, Waller Creek Pub House and The Gatsby from 6-10 p.m. Creek Show is free and open to the public.

Teen Night: Friday the 13th @ Laguna Gloria
Friday, Nov. 13, 6-9 p.m.
Teens ages 13-19 (and their families) are invited to The Contemporary Austin Laguna Gloria on Friday to go on a quest through the Sculpture Park’s majestic and eerie scenery. Try light painting, go on a flashlight parade & art tour, go on a scavenger hunt by moonlight and more. FREE!

Carnival O’ Pizza @ Home Slice
Saturday, Nov. 14, 12-7 p.m.
The annual carnival is a 10th birthday party for the restaurant and a charitable endeavor intended to give back to the neighborhood and the community. The carnival will take in the Home Slice patio and parking lot and include carnival games, music, fortune tellers, dancers, mustache painting, hairstyling, a pizza-eating contest, and much more! FREE admission. Tickets will be sold on-site for games.
