If you’re looking for a fun outing on Valentine’s Day, check out Austin Steam Train‘s Valentine’s Day Flyer on Saturday, Feb. 14. This special train ride will take you through the Texas Hill Country, crossing the wooden trestle bridge over the South San Gabriel River and Short Creek Canyon. There will be a two hour layover in Burnet where you can enjoy lunch and a Wild West Gunfight.
There are adult-only cars and family friendly cars are available for this special trip. All cars are pulled by the 1960 Alco diesel locomotive. This ride is 6 hours round trip with a 2 hour layover. It departs at 10 a.m. and returns at 4 p.m. Tickets are $39 for adults, $36 for seniors and $29 for children. You can buy your tickets online here.
