Volente Beach Resort on Lake Travis

If you’re looking for an awesome, water-filled outing with the family, take a trip to Volente Beach Resort just a short drive from Central Austin on Lake Travis.

If you’re looking for a fun family outing that feels like a mini vacation, head to Volente Beach Resort on the shores of Lake Travis. Located about 30 minutes from Central Austin, it’s an easy day trip for families looking to cool off and play.

This laid back waterpark features four waterslides, a pirate ship splash area, pools, and beach access, giving kids plenty of ways to stay cool all day long. Beachside Billy’s is a great spot to grab lunch or a snack, and there’s a small market onsite for forgotten essentials, souvenirs, and treats.

What we love most about Volente is that it’s easy. The park is small enough to keep an eye on the kids while still offering enough attractions to keep them entertained for hours. Lifeguards are on duty, there are plenty of places to relax in the shade, and the lakefront setting makes it feel like a true summer getaway. If you’re looking for a family-friendly waterpark without the crowds of the larger parks, Volente Beach is well worth a visit.
