We know that our kids have huge hearts! When given the chance, they are eager to help those in need, including our furry animal friends. On Saturday, Apr. 11, your kids can meet at the Austin Animal Shelter from 2-4 p.m. to join Butterfly Unique‘s Acts of Service Project for Kids to make cat beds. Kids will also be able to tour the shelter while they are there.
–> Sign up: If your child would like to attend, be sure to RSVP on Facebook to let the event organizer, Butterfly Unique, know how many kids will be coming so that the appropriate number of supplies will be on hand. Butterfly Unique, aka Genia Jones-Hale, believes we can all help save the world through love, and she’s giving your family a unique opportunity to support Austin Animal Shelter through this act of kindness.
–> Shoe Drive & Spring Festival: If you would like to help even more when you come to make cat beds, you can can also bring a pair of gently used or new shoes in children sizes that will be donated to the Imagi-Nation Shoe Drive. And save the date for Butterfly Unique’s Imagi-Nation Spring Festival that will take place on Saturday, Apr. 25 at Pan Am Park.
Thanks for your help!
