Where to Rent Kayaks, Canoes & SUPs on Lady Bird Lake

One of our favorite ways to spend an Austin day is out on Lady Bird Lake, soaking up the skyline views and getting a little fresh air on the water. Whether your crew is into kayaking, canoeing, paddleboarding, or just trying something new outdoors, there are plenty of great spots around town to rent gear and hit the lake.

Here’s where to rent kayaks, canoes, SUPs, and more around Austin.

  1. I would also recommend the expedition school. We did a birthday party with them about 3 years ago. They have a small inlet at Festival Beach which is east of I35. Great for kids!

  2. Austin Paddle Shack is the best! They get you out on the water super quickly, reservations accepted one of the few places that accept reservations. Great equipment and they send you out on the best part of the town/Lady bird lake.
