Back to school means many of our City of Austin pools have closed for the 2019 summer season. But it’s still ridiculously hot outside, and we want to swim! Where to go? There are still some wonderful places for you to go take a dip — as well as some year-round swimming pools, too. Below we’re breaking down which pools and splash pads are still open (and for how much longer)…
City of Austin Pools Open Through September:

— Beverly S. Sheffield Northwest Pool, 7000 Ardath Street
September 1 – 29, 2019: Open Weekends only from 12 – 7 p.m.
— Walnut Creek Pool, 12138 North Lamar Boulevard
August 19 – September 29, 2019: Open weekends only from 12 – 7 p.m.
— Mabel Davis Pool, 427 Parker Lane
August 19 – September 29, 2019: Open weekends only from 12 – 7 p.m.
— Garrison Pool, 6001 Manchaca Road
August 19 – September 29, 2019: Open weekends only from 12 – 7 p.m.
Austin Pools Open Year-Round:
— Bartholomew Pool (water slides closed), 1800 E. 51st St.
Open weekdays from 3 – 8 p.m. & weekends from 12 – 7 p.m.
— Big Stacy Pool, 700 East Live Oak
Open weekdays from 3 – 8 p.m. & weekends from 12 – 7 p.m.
— Springwoods, 13320 Lyndhurst St.
Open weekdays from 3 – 8 p.m. & weekends from 12 – 7 p.m.
— Barton Springs, 2131 William Barton Dr.

— Deep Eddy, 401 Deep Eddy Drive

City of Austin Splash Pads: The following splash pads are all free to use and are open through September 22, 2019 from 9 a.m. – 8 p.m. Do take note that there are often times that splash pads are closed for repairs. It is best to check the City of Austin website or call the Aquatics Division before you head out to ensure everything is operational.

Note that the Liz Carpenter Fountain Liz Carpenter Fountain will be closed from through December 2019 for repairs and restoration.
